About me
Hi, I am Melanie Marks, the owner/groomer of Snapdragon Dog Grooming. I live in Vancouver with my husband, our three daughters, a Standard Poodle named Poseidon and a Mini Poodle named Neptune. I love my family and grooming dogs.

To balance out the loves of my life, I decided to open my own salon in 2017. We remodeled the garage of our home into a work space for me. This allows me to bring a calm, friendly, homey environment into my salon.

I have always loved animals. Through my teen years I worked at a veterinary clinic. I went to college and received an Associates Degree in Animal Science.
After I got married, my husband and I moved to North Idaho were we raised and trained horses. I worked a little more at a veterinary clinic and taught horseback riding lessons for children.

It was not until we moved to Vancouver that I got a chance to fulfill my dream of being a dog groomer. I started grooming in 2014. I continue my education by going to grooming shows and attending seminars and classes every year.

Testimonials
"I highly recommend Snapdragon Dog Grooming. I have been taking my standard poodle to Melanie for grooming since he first came home with me and he LOVES going to see her! Her shop is very clean and there is an outdoor area where he can relieve himself if needed. She uses a hand drier (rather than cage drying) which is very important to me. She genuinely loves the dogs and has accommodated any requests I make. When I pick him up he is always happy and handsome. Even my vet comments on how well groomed he is! Every dog should be lucky enough to be groomed by Melanie."

"Could not have been an easier process. She was thorough in what would be offered and asked all the right questions to make sure my Tibbers was cute as could be when I picked up.
My girl Tibbers can leave store groomers and come back stressed.
She not only happy when I picked her up 2 short hours later, she was also perfectly groomed as I wanted but she was cute as a button with her bow on her collar. Was an awesome experience we will be repeating regularly."
